I hope we all learn to appreciate the times we have with others. I had a wonderful breakfast with a dear friend and there is the realization that the days of life are limited and that neither we nor our friends will be around forever.
After that I spent time with another friend who is planning to help me build a massive picnic table and also a Gaga Dodge ball pit!
Then I went to another local business and spent time with a fella who doesn't seem to have many close friends, and while there spoke with another who came in and had a wonderful time.
Coming home, I found a message on facebook from another friend who asked me to call an 87 yr old man who wanted to publish his book. I called and had a delightful conversation and was able to help him another step along the way.
Life is about people. God places us here amidst people and allows us brief moments to touch their lives and make a difference. And it works both ways.

ReplyDeleteThanks, Steve. Many years ago Terry Rowland said to me, "I wish more people would quit planning their lives and walk moment by moment with God." It's always stuck in my head, even if I haven't practiced it.
